I try to look for the good in life and the good in people... Since coming worse off when a horse decided to go topsy turvy, I have adapted to a new lifestyle using a sports chair. I think that having a life-altering accident, resulting in a disability makes you appreciate the smaller things in life and to treasure good friends and loyal relationships. I think we all need to feel needed and even if professing to be happy single, part of your mind wonders how much nicer it would be to have a special person in your life that understands you. Someone on the end of the phone, someone to text silly messages to or spend time with. Life is what you make of it. I have taken up wheelchair basketball after a 16 break to play 'Mum' and am thoroughly enjoying it. It has given me a reason to get fit, have joined a gym and regularly push a 3-mile circuit around our local country park. So, what am I looking for. A friend first and if we click, who knows where the yellow brick road will lead... |
